In 1998 when La Mouissone was bought, we initially thought we were obtaining a couple of houses with a sizeable piece of land. We quickly realised that we had become owners of a large and productive olive grove that would need careful management.
The Olive Grove at La Mouissone is spread across the property’s three hectares with the exception of the steepest areas, and the olive trees form the backbone of the garden. The property is almost unique in the area with the olive trees being distributed across the hillside slopes. Most olive groves are found on flat terrain, with broader terraces than are found here.
